Ben has valuable experience across a range of legal areas in the Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, arbitrations, and State Administrative Tribunal.

Ben’s practice focuses primarily in advising and acting for clients in the following areas of law:

• Building and Construction, including breach of contract and defective workmanship claims.

• Strata Titles, including advising and representing both strata companies and strata title owners across a range of matters, such as resolving scheme disputes, defective workmanship claims, amendments to strata title schemes, structural alterations to lots, enforcement of by-laws, and responding to alleged by-law breaches.

• Property Law, including encroachment and boundary disputes, adverse possession claims, nuisance and trespass disputes, breaches of contract, building and pest inspection claims, caveats, and leasing disputes.

• Commercial Litigation, including breach of contract disputes and debt recovery.

• Australian Consumer Law, including misleading or deceptive conduct, unfair contract terms, and breaches of consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

• Defence of prosecutions under the Building Act 2011 (WA), Planning and Development Act 2005 (WA), Bush Fires Act 1954 (WA), and Dog Act 1976 (WA).

Ben holds a double degree in Law and Accounting from Murdoch University in 2020 and was admitted to practice as a lawyer in Western Australia in 2021, joining the Vogt Legal team immediately after his admission.
